Project by Nicole des Bouvrie looking into the 70 years of Study Circles at the Nordic Summer University
About Nicole des Bouvrie
In the Summer of 2017 I attended a NSU Summer Session in Latvia, and although I thought I was going to another boring academic conference, I found out NSU is something rather different... since then I have been involved in NSU, presently as a Board member and a study circle coordinator (of circle 3: Hospitality & Solidarity: Feminist Philosophy in Thought, History and Action).

I am a freelance philosopher, having finished my PhD in 2015 under supervision of Anne Dufourmantelle at the European Graduate School. Since then I did a post-doc in Asia, a research fellowship in the UK and was a visiting scholar at a university in the US.

Presently I work as a art therapist, having specialised in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Theory) in combination with artistic practises. I teach philosophy (and art therapy) at different schools and in people's homes, and am always looking for new interesting projects and collaborations.

I am also a mother and I like writing (science) fiction, mostly short stories.
